The Kimmel Center will likely soon receive a facelift. While the architectural improvements to the center are subtle, much of the excitement lies in a new attraction for the site, another Jose Garces restaurant.
While the center's Spruce Street façade has been criticized for it's lack of interaction with the sidewalk. But the building itself - both being architecturally stunning and a wildly successful venue - has managed succeed as a whole.
While the Zoning Board still needs to approve the updates designed by KieranTimberlake, it's likely to pass with the Center City Residents Association and the Philadelphia Art Commission already on board.
